SUPPORTING CTE STUDENTS & PROGRAMS
THE NEED
Our workforce is in short supply of skilled tradespeople. There are profitable and fulfilling career options for those who are trained and not afraid of hard work. To meet this need, industry must support, guide, inspire and provide resources to students and Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs.
SUPPORT
Scholarship opportunities for the trades that are similar to the academic route.
GUIDANCE
Improved counseling that informs them of their options, which includes the trades.
INSPIRATION
Rebranding and encouragement of the trades as a viable and profitable option.
RESOURCES
Equipment and funding for high school Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs.
WHAT WE DO
TRADESTRONG's mission is to focus and coordinate industry resources on improving the branding of the trades, and to connect high school Career and Technical Education (CTE) students with counseling, education and trade school scholarship opportunities.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
TRADESTRONG exists because individuals, as well as corporations, have decided to reprioritize the trades. Elevating the trades can only happen with support at all levels.
DONATIONS
Individual and corporate donations of all sizes can be made to TRADESTRONG and will be used directly for the purposes outlined in the TRADESTRONG “What We Do” statement. Annual financial statements will be made public and posted on this website.
SCHOLARSHIPS
Scholarships can be made in the name of the corporation or individual in the region of the donor’s choosing. TRADESTRONG will facilitate the selection, award presentation and disbursement process in coordination with the donor’s preferences. For instance, if XYZ Construction would like to target a certain city or neighborhood, TRADESTRONG will manage the administration of the scholarship for the donor. Scholarships will be distributed as TRADESTRONG - XYZ Construction to ensure that the donor is recognized.
MATERIALS DONATIONS
TRADESTRONG can help connect industry resources with Career and Technical Education (CTE) program needs. If you have materials available for donation, TRADESTRONG may be able to find a home for the materials and facilitate the tax deduction with the donation. An ongoing list of material needs will be kept on this website for reference.
ADVISERSHIP
Help TRADESTRONG educate our future tradespersons by volunteering as an industry adviser. Help coordinate and disseminate the latest opportunities and industry news. Opportunities are available to speak to and mentor students.

Because of these individuals, we are able to cover administrative costs and keep the mission to make a positive impact in the lives of aspiring young tradesmen and women alive.
