Congratulations, Levi Kennedy!

Congratulations to Levi Kennedy (Ruidoso High School, Ruidoso, NM) for being selected to receive a $2,500 TRADESTRONG-Cook Foundation Scholarship to pursue Welding at WyoTech. Levi sent us the following letter to describe what this support means to him:

Dear TRADESTRONG Fondation,

Thank you for the opportunity to continue my education at WyoTech.  I have applied for the Applied Welding Technology program and have been accepted to begin their program in the Fall Semester beginning September 29, 2026.  Growing up I learned about welding by helping my dad weld pipe fences, trailers, and anything else broken around our family business.  I began taking the welding classes that were offered at my high school and that is when I began thinking about welding as a career.

I am excited that I have been accepted at WyoTech so that I can begin my future with a career that I enjoy and will be a lifelong skill that I can use anywhere I decide to live.  I am thankful that your company awarded me the $2,500.00 TRADESTRONG-Cook Foundation scholarship.  With this award I will be able to focus on my training without the worry of how to pay for my education.

After I complete my training at WyoTech, I will begin my career by doing pipeline welding and eventually my own welding business.  Your generous scholarship will help me achieve my career goals.
