Congratulations, Malajiah Gibbs!

Congratulations to Malajiah Gibbs (Langston Hughes High School, Fairburn, GA) for being selected to receive a $2,500 TRADESTRONG-Alston Construction scholarship to pursue a career in the Electrical field at Atlanta Tech. Malajiah sent the following note to share with us what this support has meant to her:

"Being chosen as a trade school scholarship recipient means everything to me. This isn't just a title or a check being handed to me it's proof that my hard work, my discipline, and everything I've been pushing through is being seen. I didn't get here by accident I got here by staying focused, staying consistent, and refusing to give up even when things got heavy. This opportunity takes a real weight off my shoulders. Finances can stress anybody out, but this scholarship allows me to breathe a little and lock in on what really matters my education, my training, and building a future I can be proud of. I'm using this moment as fuel not just to finish school, but to master my craft and turn it into something solid for my life. Where I come from, you learn early that nothing is just given to you you work for it, you earn it, and you protect it. That's exactly how I'm treating this opportunity. I'm grateful, but I'm also hungry hungry to grow, hungry to succeed, and hungry to show that investing in me wasn't a mistake.
