Congratulations to Nathan Hines (Tremper High School, Kenosha, WI) for being selected to receive a $2,500 TRADESTRONG-Alston Construction Scholarship to pursue Diesel Technology at WyoTech!

Nathan shared the following personal statement with us:

Being selected as a TradeStrong Foundation scholarship recipient means a lot to me. When my name was called on stage at our convocation award ceremony, I was shocked, and felt honored to be chosen and grateful knowing that people who support the skilled trades believe in my future and are willing to invest in students like me.

This scholarship is helping me take the next step toward my goals, but it also gives me confidence. It reminds me that the hard work I've put into school, sports, Scouting, work, and community service has been worth it. Knowing that others see potential in me motivates me to keep pushing myself and make the most of the opportunities ahead.

I think one of the coolest things about this scholarship is that it recognizes students pursuing careers in the trades. Skilled trades are so important, and it's encouraging to see organizations like TradeStrong supporting the next generation of workers. It makes me proud to be entering a field where I can build things, solve problems, and make a real difference through my work.

I am incredibly thankful for this opportunity and for everyone who helps make scholarships like this possible. Your support is making a real impact on my future, and I hope to make you proud as I continue my education and career.

Thank you again for your generosity and belief in students like me.

Sincerely,

Nathan Hines

We are so happy to have played a small part in your very bright future, Nathan! The rest is up to you.

Thank you, Alston Construction!
